Concorde: Major collection of some 500 covers in 6 volumes, c.100 signed, from 1973 pre-commercial flights to Air France/Br Airways service. Types incl development, test, proving, training, acceptance, delivery, maiden flights passenger & charter/commercial. In addition, Royal & Presidential flights (e.g. H.M. The Queen to Barbados), round-world and trans-polar. Over 60 countries incl those in Africa (e.g. Gabon/Senegal/Cote d'Ivore), Carribean (Antigua/St Lucia) and the Far East (S.Korea/Japan and Philippines), 100s of different locations. Signatures include those of test and other pilots (Duffey/Trubshaw/Cochrane). Numerous are back stamped/postmarked; others have more unusual annotations such as "This aircraft has yet to be sold". In addition 4 first-passenger-flight covers of the Russian rival Concordski to Kazakhstan in 1977. This large collection needs to be seen to be fully appreciated.
